You can keep laughing, I’m just warning you and your fellow wokesters that the cancel culture can easily shift (back) against your kind. It’s not a threat, I don’t have the power to make it happen, I also don’t have the power to stop it if it happens.

How you run your site is your problem, that’s not what I mean by cancel culture, you’re not that influential or important, I’m talking about the big ones with millions if not over a billion users with the potential to manipulate public opinion: Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit. Those have a dominant position nowadays and censorship there has very negative implications for a free society and the free exchange of ideas. There are also a few other issues like people getting fired for posting right-wing content or even some families disowning conservative family members. That’s also part of the woke cancel culture.

I’m going to assume you didn’t like it when communists and perceived communists were getting fired or when gays and atheists were disowned by fundamentalist Christian parents. Maybe you should think twice about employing the same intolerant tactics you once claimed to despise. Censoring people and trying to ruin their careers or lives doesn’t prove you’re right, it just proves you don’t want other people hearing what they have to say.

There are also plenty of people on your side of the political spectrum who just think you’re crazy and you’re going too far. They may say one thing to you in public cause they don’t wanna get fired or have their business boycotted, but deep down they despise you, they think you’re clowns.

Because I’m not a fan of police murdering people? It’s more like it doesn’t bother me because it’s not a thing that happens as often as BLM says it does and because it’s hard to sympathize with most of the victims.

That and I see the response from BLM to police brutality as significantly more dangerous than the police brutality itself.

But if you really want my advice on how to stop police brutality:
1. it starts with you, fix your own damn life before you try to fix the system, don’t act like a criminal and you won’t have a problem, the same way you want police to respect suspects, maybe the population should learn the proper way to interact with police because insulting them for doing their job, running away or God forbid spitting on them or attacking them is not an appropriate way to act
2. stop the criminalization of vices, less laws means less police interactions means less chance for police brutality to happen, let people sell their weed, meth and pussy as long as it’s voluntary, the only crimes that should exists are the ones where there is a demonstrable violation of the non-aggression principle and that’s a far shorter list than what exists today
3. more training, see how Europe handles suspects

There you go, don’t say I didn’t give you anything. Rioting and glorifying criminals isn’t gonna solve anything though. Follow my simple 3 step program instead, completely free of charge and do that using ONLY non-violent resistance and without trying to sprinkle in some Marxist propaganda.

The founders are Marxists and they have made absolutely no attempt to separate their own bias from the broader movement and they have also stated that being black isn’t just a race but a political identity (i.e. if you’re not with us you ain’t black, sound familiar?), what makes you think the movement can be anything other than what the leaders make it to be? Politics is downstream from culture so no it’s not a good idea to have censorship in the private sector because it can spill over into government censorship. And sometimes totalitarian governments outsource the censoring on private citizens because they don’t have time to micro-manage everything. This was done in the Soviet block where if you overheard someone going against the party you were compelled to disavow or risk being branded an enemy too. Not even 2 private citizens could trust each other to say what they really believed. So forgive me if I don’t buy into the bullshit that this is okay as long as the private sector is doing it.

There is however another possibility, that a lot of people deep down despise this Marxist bullying and you’re going to be on the receiving end of the cancel culture once woke ideology falls out of fashion with the corporations. Don’t push your luck, you don’t wanna see what McCarthyism on steroids can look like. There are already signs in Silicon Valley that not everyone is a true believer even at the highest level, take Zuckerberg for example, it’s clear to me he’s not an SJW, he’s just appeasing them so they don’t boycott his company. This is true, communists when they came to power outlawed homosexuality, prostitution and anything else they found was too fun.

The far left only supports these causes selectively to try to destabilize a society. I don’t know how this is “racist” when he explicitly disavowed attacking black people for being black, unless you believe he’s lying, it’s just a “dog whistle” which ironically is itself a conspiracy where everyone who doesn’t agree with the far left on race is a racist by default. 2. Nobody is saying Floyd deserved it, nobody is saying Chauvin shouldn’t get punished.

Many people are however acting out of all proportion to reality and over a person who frankly isn’t worth your time. To give you an example, if something were to happen to Chauvin in prison and it would be the guards’ fault, that also wouldn’t be worth rioting over.

3. Floyd could have easily avoided the outcome he got by simply not being high the day it happened. Before Chauvin even arrived on the scene (he wasn’t first to respond) another cop had trouble getting Floyd to cooperate. If Floyd had cooperated, Chauvin wouldn’t even be relevant here. When you’re high, you’re not thinking clearly, he may not have understood the first cop’s instructions at all. What followed was a failure of the police, but it could have all been avoided in the first place.

Do you really think a cop is just going to arrest you because someone else merely CLAIMS you have a fake dollar bill? They would at the very least look at the bill first and the bill wasn’t the only issue, the issue was that he was in a car and the clerk reported possible intoxication. That’s already a crime in progress regardless if the bill is fake or not.

There’s still a chance he would have died anyway? Well there’s no 0 chance for anything, I could get killed by police within the next 5 minutes, you could accidentally get water full of naegleria fowleri in your nose and die but statistically speaking that’s pretty fucking rare and only paranoid people are scared they’ll get it. If you want utopia, you picked the wrong universe.

Maybe without all this propaganda that worm of a human being who killed David Dorn would have done something more productive with his life. Several other cops also got shot that night and none of this would have happened without the anti-police bigotry promoted by BLM, antifa and all the other far left nutjobs.

I’m not but I’m also not going to ally myself with Marxists and looters in order to lower that number. The recent “protests” got plenty of people killed, including black people such as retired officer David Dorn. BLM’s actions have been 100% counter-productive to saving black lives… or any lives for that matter and their agenda goes FAR beyond saving black lives or even police reform. I could show you some more information on how counter-productive BLM has been, Baltimore murders up from around 200 a year to 300 a year because police has somehow convinced themselves that not doing their job is “safer”, less drama involved. When police retreat from neighborhoods, criminals take over. Which is worse?

Also Europe has the kind of police force that many “protestors” claim to want in the US, it certainly kills a lot less suspects, but that didn’t stop violence extending as far as Europe and even in countries where BLM is practically irrelevant and was only an excuse to bash capitalism.

Not defending his “suicide”, whoever “helped” him commit “suicide” should go to prison for life, totally agree, I’m just not particularly bothered by the fact that he died same as I’m not bothered by Floyd’s death. Floyd’s crimes may not be anywhere as serious as Epstein’s, but they were both bad people in life and both could have easily avoided their fate by living better lives. DUI is. The officers (particularly Chauvin) clearly used excessive force and they should be punished for that, equally George Floyd could have avoided the whole thing by not being high while driving around town. That is what ultimately turned things deadly, not some supposedly fake bill (and yes they knew he was high or at least drunk because that’s what the store clerk reported in his 911 call). It’s still an injustice, Epstein’s “suicide” was also an injustice, every single kill by Dexter Morgan (if such a person existed in real life) is an injustice, arguably the way Gadaffi was killed was an injustice (if you believe he could have been taken alive), you can condemn such actions but don’t ask me to feel particularly sorry over them or lose sleep over. You know what they say, live by the sword, die by the sword.

Oh and DUI kills 10 times more people than cops do by the way. But I’m supposed to be scared a cop will randomly kill me while I’m minding my own business, yeah right. The US police could probably learn a lot from European police, but this mass hysteria isn’t gonna achieve anything.

It isn’t entirely a “strawman on the right”, headlines were calling him a “gentle giant”. You can find many such websites just by googling “George Floyd gentle giant”.

It’s true that none of his actions warrant being killed over, equally his murder does not warrant the mass hysteria that followed with violent protests, statues being destroyed (and no they weren’t all confederate soldiers), stores being looted and even many innocent people being killed including David Dorn, a retired black cop. Did his life matter? Not to BLM.

The US has a population of ~330 million, ~43 million of which are black, millions of police interactions. The number of ALL people killed by police (white majority included) last year is around 1000 (that’s an average of 20 per state), only 240 are black, most are career criminals and people who are not cooperative with law enforcement. No evidence that any of them were killed for their race. The odds of this happening to you just minding your own business are pretty fucking slim.

Sure, there is room for reform, you can ask what about Europe? Okay, so why were there protests in Europe including violent encounters in UK, a country that goes out of its way to train officers for non-lethal takedowns and where very few people die (both absolute numbers and per capita) there when interacting with police.

I’ve even seen a small BLM protest as far as Romania, an eastern European country with very few blacks and no known cases of a black person killed by police. The protest was not even primarily about police brutality (like other European countries, police will use a lot less force to subdue a suspect compared to the US), the organizer used this as an opportunity to attack capitalism.

These are not merely protests over police brutality (Europe is already doing fine, you basically have to be a violent maniac to get shot in a European country and even then there’s a good chance you’ll survive just being shot in the leg or knocked out) they’re an attempt to start a cultural revolution.

I don’t agree with the post but it should be pointed out that progressives are losing the narrative as they only focus on white tribalism, while ignoring the tribalism of other groups. The progressive definition of racism is itself racist because it rejects the possibility that any non-white can be racist or that whites can be victims of racism. It’s quite common to hear this in progressive circles that “non-whites can’t be racist” because “racism is power and prejudice”, a total cop-out anyway as if being prejudiced makes things better. We see “academic” papers written on the dangers of “whiteness.” Would we be okay with papers on the dangers of “Hispanicness” or “blackness”? No.

The standards either apply for everybody or they don’t apply at all. I think these double standards are creating more racists among people who might have otherwise been on board with not being racist. I think they might also be relapsing former racists.

And then we also see manufactured accusations of racism, but that’s a whole new discussion. At least end the double standards first.

The UK has 8000 ventilators for a population of 66 million.
Italy has 3000 (reported in March) ventilators for a population of 60 million.
Germany has 20000 ventilators for a population of 83 million.
The US has 200000 ventilators for a population of 327 million.

All this based on reports from the mainstream media. Everyone faces major shortages and the US is not a uniquely bad position. There is no evidence whatsoever that “bigger governments” entered this crisis better prepared, most of them are doing a lot worse.

Don’t get me wrong, these are extraordinary circumstances, all governments should ramp up their efforts to save as many as they can, but I’m not holding my breath they’ll achieve much.

Here’s my prediction for the post-corona crisis: We will be living in a more tech-oriented economy and there will be almost no serious discussions (let alone actions) about to how prepare critical infrastructure for say a massive solar flare, which could be the next big crisis.
