[Talking to an atheist]

You are deceived by evil spirit, of this manner you confound Power and Authority with arrogance, this kind of evil manifestation is natural of whom deny the existence of God and is possessed by evil spirits, which is able to destroy souls and material things, as hapenned with the towers of the World Trade Center.

I can't help but be very skeptical about science that is based on conjecture and speculation. I just finished a semester of college biology and the closed-minded adherence to Darwinism and uniformitarianism is sickening. They present pseudo-arguments from the other side, but the arguments are presented in such a way as to present Darwins dissenters as Creationists or religious zealots. Evolutionists aren't just biologists...they are paleontologists and geologists as well. They all operate on the pre-concieved idea that evolution happened and that the earth is billions of years old. That is just an assumed 'fact'. They all work together to come up with dates for rocks or fossils...geologists with consult with evolutionists about the age of a certain rock layer based on the fossils found there and evolutionists will date fossils based on the estimated age of the rock. Most of it is based on conjecture rather than real, hard facts. They all have a vested interest in proving their theories...the Darwinists need lots and lots of time for evolution to happen by Darwinist means, and uniformitarian geologists also need a very old planet to prove their theory. In a way, it's hard to blame them. There simply is no other possible way for life on earth to happen by a purely materialistic means, so if they can't prove it true then they are going to find themselves up the proverbial creek without a clue. That is not to say that all science is dishonest or untrustworthy....just that 'evidence' needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

I'm not an American and this idiotic nonsense quibbling over "separation of church and state" based on this idolatrous worship of the US constitution (that has replaced God & common sense) does not qualify as wisdom by any means. If the constitution prohibits religious thought in the schools the constitution is wrong, period. Thought police such as materialists have forced upon the US public school system are a disgrace to the very idea of democracy and freedom - which is why the West is quickly losing it's taken for granted freedoms.

If the constitution prohibits 'religion' being taught in school then Darwinism is the first religion that should go.
It is nothing more than the religion of materialist secular humanism with its origins myth disguised as science in spite of it's growing and glaring failures.

(Re: 5 least useful things learned in school)

My youngest is in 10th grade.

1- Evolution as fact.
2- Homosexual lifestyle acceptance.
3- Any Social Studies or History class that starts off with a lesson on mankind 1,000,000 years ago.

I can't think of any others right now, but I'm sure I would if I gave it some more thought.

I hope this movie (Religulous) is not seen. How many unbelievers is this nut job, going to make out of his reprobate ways, and movie. I would never, ever, see this type of movie. Yoy know. atheist, a few years back, did not do so publicly, they kept in the closet, and were not considered the norm. Where has the US, went wrong?

Many evolutionists misinterpet the scientific evidence for creationism because it doesn't fit their faith-based assumptions. I would also point out that the fossil record demonstrates a catastrophic global flood which buried millions of plants and animals, but that is discussion for another thread.

There is no such critter as "protohuman"! There are apes and there are humans. Always have been separate created kinds, always will be separate created kinds. (Does it bother you, KT, that a successful, intelligent, well-trained and educated physician could be so hopelessly dependent on God's Word?)

BTW, you can find the answers to most of your questions on most any YEC website. But maybe you think you're taking time away from my personal Bible study. What actually do you want to accomplish here?

[Apparently, Christians resisted Nazism in some places in Germany; atheists wouldn't have resisted....if they had been there, which they weren't...for some reason]

Well, it's notable that most of those who resisted in Germany, and many other places (Bonhoffer, von Stauffenberg, Corrie ten Boom , etc) did so based on their Christian religious beliefs; if Dawkins et. al. had their way, no such resistance would have existed.

I have already become resigned to the fact that science is going to continue to borrow basic premises from ID without giving credit to them; which is fine, as long as we can keep steering them in the right direction.

I can PROVE to you that the very thoughts and intents of your heart are evil since birth... Just take your thoughts in the last week, the last day, or even the last hour about anyone you know, and if I could project them onto a screen for everyone to see, you would run out of the room in shame. We are ALL like that. And we have ALL offended God. If that doesn't bring you to tears then you have NO idea about how Holy God is!

Repent and believe...

Darwin -> Galton -> First International Eugenics Conference.

The ignorance of history [that Darwin contributed to the Holocaust] here is astounding, and frightening, considering the implications of forgetting what actually happened.

A good looking woman has a lot of advantages that an average looking women does not have. So looks alone would increase her odds for survival. If evolution were true, I would expect the less attractive one’s to die off in favor of the attractive ones just like the change in structure of Darwin’s finches. But what do we see in every day life? Most people have just average looks.

As a Christian and a Young-Earth Creationist, I don't have to believe that Muslims or Wiccans are lying when they say they saw a miracle. I can believe, and I do believe, that they very well may have seen a miracle; but I would consider it a counterfeit miracle of Satan.
How would I know whether a miracle is of Satan or of God? It depends on the context. If the miracle causes people to realize that God is great and wonderful, and to put their trust in Him, it was very likely from God. If the miracle encourages people to think something other than God is great, and to trust in that other instead, it's a counterfeit miracle of Satan.

[Atheism doesn't adhere to anything except a non-belief in gods. And as for atheism not existing, I can't say anything other than I'm an atheist.]

I never said that the concept of atheism didn't exist; Atheists just don't. I just do not believe you really are. Even if the philosophy of atheism was actually considered it would ultimately declare its adherents as well as the created order a mere illusion. Therefore, I don't believe an atheist really exists.

[Sometimes, people like me desire to think a little deeper, and want greater details (or have related questions) that the Bible simply does not touch on (like carnivores during the Pre-Fall)]

The only thing you can get any “deeper” into on such a subject is atheist thinking.

drmark #fundie ibelieve.com

Actually, it takes very little "qualification in the sciences" to totally refute naturalistic macro-evolution. The process has never once been observed to occur in recorded human history, it breaks numerous "laws" of nature, and it is essentially based on circular reasoning and irrational conclusions. Indeed, it requires more "faith" to believe in evolution than any other theory of origins! Why shouldn't evangelical apologists be qualified to argue against it?

[Did T-rexes have teeth suited for eating vegetation before the Fall?]

I doubt it. The T-rex's teeth are ideal for stripping leaves from branches. You are refusing to recognize a simple fact. Characteristics that are ideal for a carnivore can also be ideal for a vegetarian.

[RE: Attacks force churches to boost security]

[Dawkins, Dennett, Harris & Hitchens] have made it clear they think the world would be a better place if there were no religious belief, and quite frankly that can’t happen as long as we are still alive – so for those who might already have a beef against Christians, or a mental predilection to this sort of violence, Dawkins et. al. provide a rationale for taking the actions they do.

In short, if one is looking for a justification to kill Christians, what need go no further than either the God Delusion or God is not Great.

Dawkins and his cohorts, in his own language, have popularized the meme of the fundamental evil of religious belief, and as much as they have, they play a part providing a framework for such acts of violence to take place.
