Kavanaugh’s victim cried in front of a jury too, and so did he. He apparently cried the best, because they took his word over hers, and made the rapist a Supreme Court Judge.
There are a lot of things that are one person’s word against another person’s word.
Which is the “correct” Bible version? Most people say “They are all basically the same”. A few idiots say “The Only One is QJV!!!”.
A woman can be voluntarily going to a man’s hotel room only to speak to him. A bit stupid, perhaps, but she still has the right to decide what happens to her body.
A woman can be voluntarily going to a man’s hotel room to have sex with him, but change her mind once she’s in there. That’s her right; there is no Point of No Return contract for sex.
A woman can be voluntarily going to a man’s hotel room to have sex with him, begin to have sex with him and then he wants to do stuff that she doesn’t want to do, she tries to leave but is forcefully held down and has those things done to her anyway.
Bottom line: sex without consent is rape. Pure and simple.
To get a man convicted of rape, you usually have to show cuts or bruises to your body, present witnesses that heard you scream, and show that you clearly told him No, and fought back. Which is usually impossible, as most rape victims go into Frozen Fright, and literally CAN’T move or speak.
Only about 3-6 percent of rapists ever end up in a prison cell, so it’s PRETTY easy for a rapist to get away with it. More than fifty percent of all rape survivors never even report the crime, as they fear that the court procedure will be almost like a second rape, and the guy will most probably be acquitted. If it goes to trial at all, that is; most are dismissed long before then due to lack of evidence. If Tyson got six years, there probably WERE evidence of violence.
